Project planning is a discipline addressing how to complete a project in a certain timeframe, usually with defined department / resource group and stages with timeframe.

Steps are:

1. Identify deliverables.

2. Include all deliverables as one project or divide in multiple parts.

3. Identify team to manage entire project.

4. Schedule planning activity based committed delivery date.

5. Prepare detail scheduling of involved departments and its activity with expected lead time.

Project planning addon helps to create and monitor project and plan its activities with schedule dates.

FEATURES:

1. Define role and activities of all departments involved.

2. Map department and activity to each product / item / item category with timeframe.
3. Select deliverable product - item from sales order and service order.
4. Planning of product for forecast, R & D, expected order.
5. Include all products under one project plan or create separate project plan for each product of sales /service line item.
6. It provides the visibility and tools needed to plan for demand from sales/service lines and component liens and then create production order.

7. Map department and its activity to selected product.
8. Assign start date of first activity. System calculates proposed / expected completion date of project.
9. System calculates proposed and actual days, start and completion date for each department and entire project based on activity and its progress of each department. Assign work order no to each project planning.
10. Create project production order for planned product item with customized Bill of material and routing other than default mapped on item card to meet customer requirement.
11. Work order no. is also inserted as a project dimension value in sales, service and production line, which is useful to track transactions based on project dimension / work order no.

12. Report to analyze progress, requirement and shortage.
13. Project archiving for historic purpose.
